KEY OBJECTIVES

  1. Create a simple, hassle-free web app for students to submit their ideas and solutions.
  2. To create a platform that would help reduce the number of queries and issues the end users raise.
  3. To create a scalable design system for multiple user roles, giving a seamless experience to those with low internet connectivity.

DESIGN RESEARCH SUMMARY

The primary users’ (university students) journey as documented by the stakeholders was broken and unsatisfactory. The majority of the primary users were using mobile devices to access the portal. The current responsive web portal was not quite mobile friendly, leading to many ticket raising and queries.

DESIGN APPROACH

As KPIT Sparkle was going live with a fresh new look our primary aim was to not let the user feel lost in the new interface. To achieve this, our strategy was to create a guided user experience where the user gets a handholding experience.

The user experience strategy was based on the idea of giving each user a unique yet unified user experience for each role.

We planned to work on a user interface design system which is not just young, and dynamic to be used across all the user roles but also is in sync with the parent corporate company brand guidelines.
